Welcome to our website on Charcoal water filters. This site provides some information to help understand how charcoal filters work and some top rated filters and suppliers.
Charcoal water filters, also known as carbon water filters are the most of common type of water filtration system as they are very easy to install and use, are relatively inexpensive, and do a good job of filtering the most harmful contaminants in our drinking water. Charcoal water filters can be placed at the end of the faucet, under the sink, in pitchers that are kept in the refrigerator, or used in coffeemakers.
When choosing a charcoal water filter be sure to use the activated charcoal type (as pollutants are attracted to the activated charcoal) and know the amount of charcoal as this will determine the amount and pollutant removal rate. Note that some charcoal water filters also have an additional feature that provides antibacterial protection with the addition of activated nano-silver, which kills many known types of organisms also found in unfiltered water.
They should be replaced frequently as noted in your users manual, but most will last for 2 or 3 months of use, but you should take into acount the amount of inpurities, water flow rate, amount of activated charcoal
